Students study the effect of the body’s systems and cells of disease and how the immune system responds. In Unit 2 students gain an understanding how genetics links to an understanding of biological diversity and physiological systems. Finally students undertake an investigative skills assignment

Unit 4 involves students looking at how an understanding of ecosystems leads to an understanding of how human activity can be made to be sustainable. The topic is control of cells and in organisms: gaining an understanding of how living things work from the cellular level to whole organ systems. The final unit is an investigative skills assignment.
